  • We are seeking an experienced, outgoing feminist who is fearless and ambitious enough to become the voice of our SHE Speaks: Unmuted Podcast.

    This podcast is about raising awareness on topics - all things women. Bringing forward community voice, and providing a platform to have open, honest and sometimes messy conversations of the women’s experience.

    This individual ideally knows their way around a mic, and recording set up. Can edit the takes and launch the episodes.

    There is a lot of creative free reign for this project, and we are working towards building this in as a paid position for the right candidate.

  • Help us coordinate this year’s farmers market, and be the face of the agency at the St. Pauls market this spring /summer.

    We are seeking someone who is not afraid to speak about our work, be a voice for the community and promote different happenings at the farmers market booth. This might include selling tickets to fundraising events, speaking about our podcast, speaking to awareness days like the National Women’s Equality Day in August. Some other aspects include recruiting volunteers, and chatting to community about our different social programs.

    This volunteer position is every Saturday from 7am - 1pm

    There will be responsibility to support farmers market ambassadors, and working with our team to ensure smooth scheduling.

    This role will be responsible for the set up and take down of the farmers market booth, ensuring that our promotional materials are stocked, up to date and that everything is handled with care.

  • Be the front face of our organization!

    Our reception is led by volunteers across our communities, and is a role that keeps our centre organized and functioning.

    If interested in supporting this role, you can expect:

    • Administrative Tasks such as printing, filing and sorting mail

    • Answering the phone, transferring calls, and taking messages

    • Answer and manage emails. Everything from managing event registrations, donation outreach, to sending out client correspondence for different programs.

    • Manage Virtual Engagements

    • Greeting folks as they come in for activities or appointments

    • Offer Tea/ Coffee to guests

    • Receive the mail and allocate it accordingly into client mailboxes or to the respective office

    • Manage client mail keys and provide them to clients when requested

    • Receive donations and take them to the donation room

    • Help with the centre activity set up as needed

    • Ensure the centre is clean and reset before closing

    • Open / Close the centre

  • Be there to provide support and mentorship for resume writing, cover letter writing, job application development, and 1:1 mock interview support.

    This role provides financial literacy education and 1:1 financial education support to clients who need additional help managing their financial health.

    Our Employment coaches are also equipped with the skills to provide support with professional development bursary applications and support clients with subsidization to meet their needs while managing their first month of employment.

  • We are always looking to collaborate with individuals with expertise to support our various activities. We are also looking to incorporate new and exciting workshops into the space.

  • As we move into our new centre, we are seeking volunteers who want to volunteer a few hours per month supporting the upkeep & management of our centre space.

Corporate Volunteers

Interested in supporting our mission through a team-building activity. We are always looking for an extra helping hand at the Centre. We are equipped to handle groups of up to 7 people for a full or half day of volunteering. We will be thrilled to host your corporate volunteering activity and better acquaint you with everything the Centre offers.
