This FREE supportive and empowering workshop is designed to gently remove fear and replace it with understanding by walking participants through what actually happens during labour and birth. So often, fear around childbirth is shaped by dramatic stories, media portrayals, and online narratives, but every labour experience is unique, and no two births unfold the same way.
Together, we will break down the physiology of labour in a clear, accessible, and non-intimidating way so you can better understand your body and feel more prepared, informed, and confident.
We will explore:
What actually initiates labour (hormones and body readiness)
The stages of labour explained simply: early labour, active labour, and transition
How to recognize labour signs and what they actually mean
When to go to the hospital or birthing centre
Understanding contractions and ways to support yourself at home before going in
Myth vs. fact: clearing up common misconceptions about birth
Why labour looks different in real life compared to movies and social media
This workshop is rooted in the belief that knowledge creates empowerment. When women understand what is happening in their bodies, they are better able to advocate for themselves, ask informed questions, and actively participate in their birth experience. While healthcare providers play an important role, no woman should ever feel like she has no voice in her own birth story.
Join us in person for a chill and informative session all about labour and birth. Whether you're a first-timer or just want to brush up on your knowledge, this event with Wildflower Wellness has got you covered. Come hang out, ask questions, and get the lowdown in a relaxed atmosphere!

Join us for a deeply restorative Sound Healing experience facilitated by Waves Energy, an immersive session designed to calm the nervous system, release stress, and invite a sense of balance and inner peace.
Through the use of therapeutic sound frequencies, participants are guided into a meditative state where the body and mind can gently unwind. This practice supports relaxation, emotional release, and grounding, allowing you to step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with yourself on a deeper level.
No experience is needed, simply come as you are, bring a mat or blanket, and allow yourself to rest. You will be comfortably supported as sound waves move through the space, creating an environment where healing and stillness can naturally unfold.
This by-donation event is rooted in accessibility and community care, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to experience the benefits of sound healing regardless of financial circumstance.

Write Like a Girl is a FREE, welcoming, calming, and creative writing series designed to help women reconnect with their voice, build confidence in their writing, and explore the many ways words can be used to express who they are.
Led by Dr. Mary Johnson, a published author and teacher of modern fiction, this series gently introduces participants to the fundamentals of writing and storytelling, while also opening pathways into publishing.
With her guidance and lived experience as a writer, Dr. Johnson supports women in building trust in their creativity and confidence in their voice on the page.
This is a space for all forms of writing; prose, poetry, journaling, short stories, and experimental expression are all welcome. Each session builds on the last, gradually deepening skills, confidence, and creative exploration. While each class can stand alone, participants are invited to return and grow with the series over time.
The environment is intentionally soft and grounding: low lighting, a calm atmosphere, and tea served throughout. Participants are encouraged to settle into a cozy corner, follow gentle prompts, and write at their own pace, allowing their inner dialogue to unfold without pressure.
These sessions are free and open, designed to be accessible and inclusive. There is no expectation of perfection, no “right” way to write, and no experience required, only curiosity and a willingness to explore.
In this space, writing becomes an act of self-trust. Write Like a Girl is about discovering your voice, strengthening it over time, and learning that your words—exactly as they are—matter.

Grounded: Body-Based Tools for Anxiety and Overwhelm is a gentle, guided somatics workshop designed to support participants in reconnecting with their bodies as a source of safety, regulation, and calm.
In this session, you will be led through a somatic meditation that invites awareness back into the body through breath, sensation, and mindful presence. Rather than focusing on “fixing” anxiety or overwhelm, this practice offers tools to meet those experiences with grounding, compassion, and curiosity.
Somatic work helps us shift out of the thinking mind and into the body, where we can begin to notice how stress and emotion are held physically, and how we can gently support the nervous system in returning to balance. Participants will be guided through simple, accessible practices that can be used in everyday life to support moments of stress, anxiety, or overwhelm.
No prior experience with meditation or somatic practices is required. This is a welcoming, trauma-informed space where participants are invited to move at their own pace and engage in whatever way feels safe and supportive for their body.
