Counselling Workshops
Starting this Fall, we are beginning a partnership with Mindwise Counselling, bringing 4 workshops to the space for women needing a little extra mental health support. These workshops are built to provide tools that will help overcome Anxiety & Anxious Thinking, PTSD & Trauma, Build Boundaries & Assertive Communication skills & how to manage and unpack self-care.
These workshops provide a space for individuals to connect with a registered counsellor and learn about additional counselling supports within the community.
Coming Back To Her
"Coming Back to HER" is a 6-week psycho-educational workshop designed to help women reconnect with and redefine who they truly are. Through guided reflection, empowerment tools, and supportive discussion, participants will explore identity re-development, healing, and the art of setting healthy relational boundaries. Together, we will work on quieting the self-limiting stories we often tell ourselves and opening space for growth, strength, and self-compassion.
This unique program is for every woman at a crossroads, whether you are emerging from hardship or seeking to deepen your own self-healing journey. In a safe and welcoming space, women can come together to reclaim their voices, rebuild their sense of self, and step forward with renewed clarity and confidence.
Registration opens January 2026 for Spring / Summer Intake.
Community Peer
At the Interior Women’s Centre Society, our Peer Support team is here to walk alongside women on their journeys, not to lead, but to stand with. Using a peer support and navigation model, our team offers compassionate listening, shared understanding, and lived experience to help women feel less alone. We support women in identifying their goals, navigating available resources, and making connections to community services such as housing, income supports, counselling, healthcare, and legal aid.
Peer Support is about building trust, creating safety, and honouring women’s strengths. Whether someone is facing violence, poverty, isolation, or simply looking for a supportive space, our peer support workers provide both practical guidance and emotional connection. At its core, this work is about empowerment—helping women access the tools, networks, and confidence they need to move forward on their own terms.
